While leading the National Housing & Construction Company and the Uganda Securities Exchange, Joseph distinguished himself as an expert in real estate finance and development. Earlier in his career, as Manager for Industrial Estate Development at the Uganda Investment Authority, he led the land acquisition and development work behind Namanve Industrial Park.
Investment management was the other area in which Joseph distinguished himself across his CEO roles at the National Housing & Construction Company and the Uganda Securities Exchange, leading both companies through a period of transformation and a return to profitability.
A recurring thread across Joseph's career: applying ICT to finance. At General Electric Capital Corporation, he led applied research on extending ICT into financial services; as Senior Banking Officer at Uganda Development Bank, he introduced ICT, internet, and computer-based project tracking systems; and at ALTX, that same approach positions the exchange as a leader in applying technology to securities trading in East Africa.
